Distribution annoncée pour "An Officer and a Gentleman - The Musical", à SYdney

C’est le 24 mai 2012 que s’ouvrira à Sydney en première mondiale le musical "An Officer and a Gentleman" au Lyric Theatre Star City.

"An Officer and a Gentleman" (tiré du film du même nom), est mis en scène par Simon Phillips ("Love Never Dies" à Melbourne et "Priscilla Queen of the Desert")

Andrew Hallsworth signe la chorégraphie et Dave Skelton la direction musicale.

La distribution comprend : Ben Mingay (Zack Mayo), Amanda Harrison (Paula Pokrifki), Alex Rathgeber, Kate Kendall, Bartholomew John, Bert LaBonte, Josh Piterman, Tara Morice, Zahra Newman, Josef Brown, Bernard Angel, Elise Brennan, Bianca Baykara, Kirby Burgess, Lena Cruz, Sam Devenport, Akina Edmonds, Zoy Frangos, Sheridan Harbridge, Peter Hardy, Brendan Irving, Tanya Mitford, Thern Reynolds, Simon Roborgh, Michael Whalley and Patrick Williams.

Le musical est produit par Gordon Frost Productions.

La chanson "[Love Lift Us] Up Where We Belong" (musique de Jack Nitzeche & Buffy Sainte-Marie, lyrics de Will Jennings) qui avait obtenu l'Oscar de la meilleur chanson sera inclue dans la nouvelle partition composée par Ken Hirsch & Robin Lerner.
